Protecting the Oceans and the Earth for the future of Humanity
In June 2006, H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco decided to set up His own Foundation to address the worrying threats to our planet's environment. The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation works to protect the environment and promote sustainable development worldwide. It focuses its efforts in those areas where action is most urgently needed: climate change, biodiversity, and the management of marine resources in the major geographic regions of the Mediterranean basin, the polar regions and the Less Advanced Countries.
Thanks to the involvement of Prince Albert II of Monaco and the unstinting financial support of ecologists, NGOs, businesses and individuals, the Foundation has successfully completed over 540 projects since 2006.
The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation has ten international offices, in France, the US, the UK, Switzerland, Canada, Germany, Italy, Singapore, Spain, and China.
