The history of the Metropole began with
a meeting, between a lebanese traveler and the Principality of Monaco in 1980.
Nabil BOUSTANY was a world famous developer, who fell in love with Monaco, its
historic past, exceptional climate, and privileged location on the
Mediterranean. He dreamt of building an astonishing complex in the very heart
of Monte-Carlo, and plans were soon drawn up, with some of the world’s foremost
architects joining him...
The Metropole Shopping Monte-Carlo was officially opened in 1988, basing its
reputation on its luxurious, inviting atmosphere, in a setting made from
precious materials.
Marble, extracted from the prestigious Carrara quarries in Italy, helped give
the interior a resolutely modern Mediterranean feel. Two majestic Bohemia
crystal chandeliers, made by Faustig, hang above the central square, creating a
magnificent ambience.
The 80 shops and six restaurants offer a choice selection, from fashion and
accessories, to gourmet food, jewelry, luxury timepieces, beauty treatments,
as well as homeware, tableware and antiques...
