A New Princess Grace Trail in Monaco, ready for the Prince's wedding

Publication date: 09/05/2011
The Princess Grace trail, which was inaugurated in 2007 and retraces the most representative of Princess Grace's activities, will be completely renewed by the end of May.

Since its inauguration in 2007, the 25 information posts depicting Princess Grace had suffered the ravages of time.  Brand new posts will be put in place in the coming days and will make it possible to follow this 25-stop trail once again.  Each information post has captions in five languages - French, English, Italian, German and Japanese.

The trail portrays the Principality during Princess Grace's time. Princess Grace, who contributed so significantly to Monaco's global reputation, has left her mark everywhere, in all parts of the Principality.  The trail is a reminder of her most characteristic activities and offers a unique walk through Monaco's tourist attractions.

So, in Monaco's Old Town, one can stop at the Cathedral or the Oceanographic Museum, by Port Hercule, and recall 12 April 1956, when Miss Grace Patricia Kelly, aboard the ship "Constitution," was greeted by a huge crowd that had turned out to welcome the future Princess of Monaco.
