Formula 1 returns to the Principality this weekend!

After a two-year hiatus, the Formula 1 cars are set to return to the streets of Monaco for the most prestigious race of the season. 

Thrills are guaranteed on this legendary circuit, where every driver dreams of taking the chequered flag. Overtaking is tricky and so the qualifying session will be crucial. From free practice on Thursday 20 May, to qualifying on the Saturday and the race itself on Sunday 23 May, Monaco is ready for race weekend.

There will be some 7,500 spectators in the grandstands to follow the action, right in the heart of the city! For this 78th edition of the race, access to the circuit is open to all, subject to providing a PCR test taken within the last 72 hours.

As part of an on-going partnership, Louis Vuitton ha screated a special case that wil be presented to the winner of the Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix. Made in the historic Louis Vuitton workshops in Asnières, the case illustrates all of the fashion house's traditional savoir-faire, taking inspiration from the Monaco Grand Prix which celebrates its 78th edition this year.

The iconic monogram can be seen in the red of the Monegaeque flag, with the red lines forming the "V" for "Victory" are edged with a white strip that echoes the unique street circuit, where drivers need to call on all their power and precision.

This custom-made case, in the colours of the Principality, will house the trophy – designed with the 19 turns of the 3.337 km circuit - that will be presented to the winner of the 2021 Monaco Grand Prix.
