Publication date: 17/03/2023
The sun loungers are back on the beaches and around the pools, the restaurant terraces are bustling with diners again, the gardens are in bloom... there's no doubt about it, warmth and sunshine are on the way, with a fine season in store in Monaco.

The mild spring weather and balmy temperatures are already bringing out locals and tourists in the Principality, as a foretaste of the summer ahead.

Relax and listen to the gentle lapping of the waves, as you settle down at a table at one of the seaside restaurants to savour the unique flavour of the Riviera.

In the Larvotto seaside district, the Alang Bar with its vitamin-packed "sunshine" concept can be found on Monaco's only private beach at the Méridien Beach Plaza. There, you can enjoy cocktails, fresh salads, and fruit platters to share, games of backgammon available to play, and a heady playlist to make the most of the bright and deliciously warm days. This new venue opens on 7 April. Prepare to relax to the hypnotic rhythm of the waves!

On the eastern edge of the Principality, you'll find one of Monaco's most summery brasseries, serving sensational sea food: le Deck at the Monte-Carlo Beach hotel. With its chic and casual atmosphere and views over the Olympic swimming pool surrounded by palm trees, nestling by the Mediterranean, you'll quickly forget the hustle and bustle of the city. (Opens in April 2023).

If you prefer sweeping views of the sea to admire every shade of blue, then one of these establishments will be perfect for you.

Spend a unique evening South American-style and experience a taste of Peru at COYA! The restaurant invites diners on a journey of the senses with its fusion cuisine in a beautiful setting decorated with tribal art, all against the backdrop of the Mediterranean. (Opening on 6 April 2023)

Gastronomic restaurants Em Shérif and Elsa will also take you on a voyage of culinary discovery, to Lebanon and the Mediterranean respectively. At Em Shérif, sit at a table in a peaceful, leafy garden with unmatched sea views, and savour delicately fragrant dishes with an oriental flavour.  At Elsa, nestled in a pine glade, experience the intimate atmosphere as you admire the horizon (Opening in April 2023).

Fall under the spell of the Horizon Rooftop at the Fairmont Monte-Carlo, perched on the hotel's top floor, for a moment of gastronomy between the sea and sky with a Mediterranean-inspired menu (Opening on 2 May 2023). After undergoing refurbishment earlier this year, Le Castelroc, one of the Principality's essential restaurants with its Monegasque-style dishes, enjoys a quite exceptional location facing the Prince's Palace and overlooking the cliffs above the port of Fontvieille. (Open for lunch service - Re-opening for evening service from June to September).

Or why not dine by the pool! With its stylish decor designed by Karl Lagarfield and its fresh and light menu, the Odyssey at the Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo is like a perfect oasis in the midst of the city. This discreet restaurant will open for the summer.
