On 1 September, the Principality's new public service channel TVMONACO officially went live. And thanks to a partnership with TV5 Monde, the general-interest public channel can be seen worldwide!
On Friday 1 September at 7.22 pm, H.S.H. Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene officially launched the Principality's first ever public service television channel: TVMONACO.
The new channel joins the TV5 Monde global French-speaking network, ensuring that its mix of Monegasque news and some of its original productions can be seen by viewers in nearly 432 million households around the world.

TVMONACO offers content based on four themes closely associated with the Principality - environment, news, sport, and lifestyle - and aims to promote the Riviera to a global audience. The channel will feature three hours of fresh content daily with a news bulletin, a chat show, and a weekly sports magazine. And while it has a library of existing programmes to draw on, TVMONACO will also screen "original productions on the environment, health, and science," explains Nathalie Biancolli, the channel's CEO.

With an editorial line independent of both the political and economic powers, and a modern and spontaneous style, TVMONACO can be found on the universal service, on YouTube, via Freebox and Molotov, and soon as part of Canal+ packages.
Settle down in front of your screen and be sure to check out the weather report... the original choice of presenter might surprise you!
