Get a special peek at Monaco’s incredible heritage this Sunday

On the theme of “living heritage”, the 28th European Heritage Day is a unique, once-a-year opportunity to visit some fascinating museums and monuments that are usually closed to the public.

More than 50 locations will be opening their doors, from Fontvieille to Larvotta, and from the Rock to the Exotic Garden and La Condamine. Once again, this year’s Heritage Day promises plenty of surprising discoveries!

Among the many different activities on offer will be a treasure hunt for all the family called “From Seed to Tree”, where you can learn all about Monaco’s national tree, the carob. Adults and children alike can watch and take part in fun gardening sessions in the heart of a protected natural site.

While the major sites will of course be opening their doors, such as the State Apartments of the Prince’s Palace or the Cars Collection of H.S.H. the Prince of Monaco, there are a host of other, less well-known but equally interesting places waiting to be explored this Sunday. They include the Monaco Scientific Centre, the Princess Grace Academy, or the private Chapel and gardens of the Archbishop’s palace.

The Principality’s state institutions will also be welcoming visitors (City Hall, National Council, Residence of H.E. the Minister of State, and others), along with iconic and historic buildings including the Opéra Garnier, the Casino de Monte-Carlo, or the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, which will be performing a symphonic concert.
