100 Gypsy Violins at the Grimaldi Forum

The 100 Violins of the Budapest Gypsy Symphony Orchestra are in concert at the Grimaldi Forum on 25 April.

Conducted by Sandor Buffó Rigó and Jószef Csócsi Lenvaï, the orchestra will play works from the classical repertoire by Johannes Brahms, Pablo De Sarasate, Franz Liszt, Johann Strauss, Gioacchino Rossini and Pyotr Tchaikovsky in pure gypsy style – a brilliant programme blending traditional Hungarian gypsy violins with great classical works.

Everything is performed masterfully, with no scores, by 100 gypsy musicians from Budapest, all virtuosos and all fascinating.  An astonishing orchestra that's a hit with audiences all over the world.
