On Friday 25 and Saturday 26 October, the 7th International Four Hands Piano Competition will be held, organised by the Rainier III Academy and the Lions Club Monaco.From Friday 25 to Sunday 27 October 2019, Various Venues
For this 7th edition, the eight duos selected will compete in an exploration of all musical repertoires, from the Baroque period (16th century) to the present day.
On Friday 25 October, in the auditorium of the Rainier III Academy, the eight duos will compete from 9.30 to 12.30 and from 2 pm to 5 pm.
On Saturday 26 October, at 7.30 pm in the Salon Belle Epoque at the Hôtel
Hermitage, the final will take place during a prestigious gala dinner. After the competition, the Prix Edmond de Rothschild will be awarded to the winning duo.
The finalists will be accompanied during the evening by the chamber orchestra Les Solistes de
Monte-Carlo, conducted by Jean-Louis Dedieu, and will perform Léopold Kozeluch's concerto for four hands.
The evening will begin with the duo of young graduates from the Académie de Musique, Alexei Dimitriadis and Yanis
Farrugia, who will perform Beethoven's Egmont.
This event, under the High Patronage of His Serene Highness the Sovereign Prince, is organised in partnership with the Rainier III Academy of Music directed by Christian Tourniaire, and the support of the bank Edmond de
Rothschild.
