An event not to be missed! Steve Hackett will be performing on stage at the Opéra Garnier Monte-Carlo on 25 November!Thursday 25 November 2021, at 8.30 pm Opéra de Monte-Carlo - Salle Garnier
Stephen Richard Hackett is a British singer-songwriter, perhaps best known as the guitarist of the band GENESIS from 1971 to 1977. A pioneer of the progressive genre, his electric guitar playing is based on an ethereal and experimental sound, favouring harmony and musicality over pure technique. It has seen him develop a very particular poetic, offbeat and dreamlike sound, specific to his solo career, which he began in 1975. He has produced landmark and critically acclaimed albums such as Selling England By The Pound (a favorite of John Lennon)
Absent from touring for (too) long, he released a new edition of his Genesis Revisited album in 2013 that reawakened the passion of his fans and gave him a renewed taste for feverish touring around the world
In 2019, Steve's live performances reached their peak and Hackett played to sell-out crowds throughout the tour, in which he performed tracks from the albums Mornings, Selling England By The Pound and At The Edge Of Light
At the height of his career and to critical acclaim, Hackett announced the 2021 tour of the Genesis live album Seconds Out, recorded in concert at the Palais des Sports in Paris in June 1977.
