Monaco E-Prix
May
kicks off at full tilt with the Monaco E-Prix! This year, the ABB FIA Formula E
World Championship will be bringing its electric atmosphere to the streets of
the Principality over the weekend of 3 and 4 May. The races promise to be full
of thrilling action, with spectators at last year’s meeting treated to an
incredible 200 overtakes!
Top Marques Monaco
Now
into its 20th year, Top Marques Monaco will take place in an ideal slot between
the Monaco E-Prix and the Formula 1 Tag Heuer Monaco Grand Prix, from 7 to 11
May 2025. The prestigious exhibition is a chance for visitors to get a glimpse
of some of the world’s most impressive supercars, and also has areas devoted to
luxury timepieces, high jewellery, and superboats. Every year, Top Marques sees all-new
supercars and hypercars go on display to the public for the first time. This
2025 edition will be no exception, with no fewer than ten official launches and
three unveilings to delight car enthusiasts, including the 1,000 BHP Lafitte
LM1 Monaco Edition.

Mare Nostrum Swim Tour Monaco
The
Mare Nostrum is returning to Monaco in 2025. The prestigious series of
international races will see the world’s elite swimmers gather in Monaco on 17
and 18 May. An essential date on the sporting calendar in the Principality for
three decades, as always the meeting promises its share of records, thrilling
action, and an electric atmosphere at the Stade Louis-II.
Formula 1 Tag Heuer Monaco Grand Prix
May
in Monaco can only mean one thing: it’s Formula 1 Grand Prix time! The most
iconic motor race of them all will take place from Friday 23 to Sunday 25 May.
Always eagerly anticipated, the Formula 1 Tag Heuer Monaco Grand Prix with its
truly unique circuit is one of the most popular races of the season with
drivers. A symbol of elegance and excellence, this Grand Prix is an essential
event on the Monegasque sporting calendar.
In 2024, local hero, Monaco’s very own Charles Leclerc took victory in his home
race. Will he make it two in a row?

to Monaco, to make the most of all these events, use the Parking des Salines.
The car park has plenty of space and attractive prices.
It’s also conveniently situated at the entrance
to the city, so you can bypass the heavy traffic in the Principality and make
your way to the circuit quickly and easily using the free shuttle service or
clearly signposted pedestrian paths.

AS Monaco Football Club
The
French football league championship is entering the final strait! AS Monaco
will host Olympique Lyonnais at the Stade Louis-II in Ligue 1 on Saturday 10
May. The match kicks off at 9 pm, with both sides looking to seal a top-three
finish in the league and secure European football next season.
AS Monaco Basket
Monaco’s
basketball team is also challenging at the top of the table. In the French Betclic Elite championship, the
Roca Team has already made sure of a spot in the playoffs, and will play host
to JL Bourg on 11 May at 7 pm. Meanwhile, the top scorer in Euroligue history,
Mike James, will be hoping to add to his incredible tally in that competition
as the Roca Team take on FC Barcelona in the playoffs for a in the semi-finals.

Culture
Stand Up Monaco
We’ve
said it before: there’s
a love story blossoming between Monaco and stand-up comedy! The
Principality is the stage for all kinds of events and, on Monday 5 May, the
Grimaldi Forum will host an unprecedented evening of entertainment. Stand Up
Monaco will see performances by comics Gad Elmaleh, Gabrielle Giraud, AZ,
Hassan de Monaco, Nino Arial, and Nash. Two shows, one at 7 pm and a second at
8.45 pm, to make for one unique night of comedy.
Roman Frayssinet – Ô Dela
Roman
Frayssinet is back with Ô Delà, the second instalment in his trilogy of shows.
Following the introspective Ô Dedans, this new show invites the audience to
take a step back and look at life from a different angle. With his unique brand
of humour, Roman looks for nuance, beauty, balance... But mostly laughs!
Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox
Scott
Bradlee and the Postmodern Jukebox are coming to the Principality for an
unforgettable evening of retro-style music on 27 May, giving modern-day hits a
classic jazz, swing soul and doo-wap spin for a unique experience.

“Il était une première fois” exhibition for the 40th anniversary of the Stade Louis-II
40th
anniversary of the Stade Louis II, Part Two! The arena that has played host to
some of the greatest moments in Monaco’s sporting history is celebrates its
40th anniversary this year with a series of special events. Following the
official ceremony in February looking back at its construction and
inauguration, the stadium is now set to host an exhibition focusing on its many
“firsts”. A total of 14 showcases have been installed along the inner
pedestrian walkway, displaying press clippings, archive photos and posters of
the first football match, the first world records in athletics and swimming,
and the first ever concert to be held at the stadium. A step back in time
through 40 years of sporting, cultural, and institutional events.
Exhibition
marking the centenary of Marcel Duchamp’s “Obligation pour la roulette de
Monte-Carlo”
Marcel
Duchamp and his contemporary artworks are well-known in the international art
world. Most are less familiar with his
time in Monaco and the way the casino influenced his art. This exhibition marks
the centenary of his “Obligation pour la roulette de Monte-Carlo”. Duchamp used the obligation or bond to
explore the theme of gambling and chance, turning a simple lottery ticket into
a conceptual object. Fittingly, the piece is on display in the Atrium of the
Casino de Monte-Carlo itself.
Monaco
International Dog Show
The
Espace Fontvieille will host the Monaco International Dog Show on 10 and 11
May. The featured breeds at this year’s show will be the Pyrenean Sheepdog, the
Beauceron, the Briard, and the Berger Picard.
International Bouquet Competition
The
56th International Bouquet Competition will take place in Monaco on Saturday 10
and Sunday 11 May 2025, under the High Patronage of H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince
and the Presidency of H.R.H. the Princess of Hanover. The theme of this year’s
competition is “Flowers in Motion".
L’apéro des Frenchy – La Condamine Market
What
better way to end a busy day than with a drink and a dance in great company?
The now famous Apéro des Frenchy is back at La Condamine Market! The concept
could not be simpler: good vibes, entertainment, and music, a winning

Cédric Grolet at the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo
Celebrated
chef Cédric Grolet is this summer preparing to open “Cédric Grolet Monte-Carlo”
at the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, where he will be taking the role of
Executive Pastry Chef. The new area will include a tea room and a shop,
enhancing the already fabulous menu of gastronomical delights on offer in
Monaco and at the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer resort.
Named the world’s best pastry chef in 2018, Cédric Grolet will be serving his
signature cakes and pastries along with some exclusive new creations, including
one dedicated to H.S.H. Prince Albert II. His innovative pastries will be
available at all of the hotel’s restaurants, with the exception of the Louis
XV-Alain Ducasse.

Near Monaco
Rose and
Plant Festival at the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild
The
Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild is hosting its 14th Rose and Plant Festival on 3
and 4 May. Visitors can share their passion with horticulturalists and rose
breeders, explore the Villa’s nine listed gardens, admire the plants and roses
and even make some purchases, while there will also be activities and
entertainment for all ages.
Festival de Cannes
May
on the Riviera means it’s time for the Cannes Film Festival! The annual celebration of cinema will include
screenings and a variety of events, and the jury for this 78th edition taking
place from 13 to 24 May will be presided by French actor Juliette Binoche.
