2023/2024 season - La Compagnie - LA VALSE & L'ENFANT ET LES SORTILÈGES, Balanchine & Maillot. "L’Enfant et les Sortilèges" (The Child and the Spells) is an opera created by Ravel in 1925 in Monte-Carlo, to a libretto by Colette (incidentally, this year marks the 150th anniversary of her birth). It was one of H.S.H. Prince Rainier III's favourite operas. This new interpretation by Jean-Christophe Maillot brings together 240 artists on stage for a larger-than-life ensemble performance, which Ravel himself had originally conceived as a forerunner of the modern musical.From Wednesday 20 to Saturday 23 September 2023, at 7.30 pm, Grimaldi Forum Monaco
