Diana Krall in concert for Red Cross Gala at Sporting Monte-Carlo
The 66th Monaco Red Cross Gala will take place on Friday August 1, 2014
The 66th Monaco Red Cross Gala is set to be a rhythmic and unforgettable occasion, thanks to the fantastic artists who are participating.
After attending an amazing aquatic show, guests will be welcomed by the Zhang Zhang band, led by a violinist from the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra.
To kick off the evening, Sandrine Quétier and Marcus Miller, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador and spokesman for the Slave Route Project, will introduce the Gala event and draw the winners of the prestigious raffle.
During dinner, South African group Freshlyground, one of the biggest successes of South Africa’s crossover music scene, will perform their hits: original sounds mixing afro and soul, backed up by the fabulous tones of singer Zolani Mahola’s voice.
This year, the Gala welcomes Diana Krall who will perform some of the greatest jazz standards with her natural sensuality. With fifteen albums behind her, the enchanting Canadian pianist and singer is one of the most exciting jazz artists of her generation.
The concert will be followed by a fireworks display, while Justin Caldwell and Erin McCarley, singers and guitarists from The Sporting Summer Band, will take guests into the night with dance music.
