"How on earth is he going to get out
of this mess?" In a frenzied
rhythm, a troupe of five actors, musicians and singers take inspiration from one
of Molière's funniest comedies, revisited with music in the spirit of popular
open-air theatre and the commedia dell'arte.
Two friends, Octavian and Léandre, are each
married to young women of unknown birth, with whom they are madly in love -
however, without the consent of the two fathers, Argante and Géronte, who have marriage
plans for their children! The sons
think all is lost and don't know what to do. Fortunately, Scapin, a cunning and generous valet is there to
make youth and love triumph.
A WORD FROM ANTHEA:
What a pleasure to welcome such a lovely,
genuine, troupe, which is youthful and strong, accustomed to the stage and full
of the energy that such a comedy requires - the eternal story of thwarted young
lovers, of masters and their servants, of conflicts between generations, of the
confrontation between pure feelings and the power of money. You will be amazed at so much
inventiveness, as you rediscover this great classic and ask yourself for a
moment what you are doing here in all this ... CRAZINESS!
