Saturday 15 December, at 8 pm and Sunday 16 December, at 3 pm Grimaldi Forum Monaco - Salle des Princes.

Monaco Dance Forum: "Noah", a choreographical performance by Thierry Malandain performed by the Malandain Ballet Biarritz.

In choosing to take inspiration from the myth of Noah, Thierry Malandain is once again focusing on themes close to his heart: Humanity and its future, destiny, the environment. Water, an element that is by turns life-giving and destructive, is here seen as regenerating humanity... a humanity that took refuge on the Ark for forty days and re-emerged transformed.

"Through the myth of the Great Flood, common to different traditions, the joyous figure of Noah embodies a kind of breakthrough in the history of humankind. Summing up the past and preparing the future, it symbolises the birth of a new world, better than the last". (T. Malandain)

Alongside the performance, there will also be symposiums, screenings, workshops and master classes.

"While Noah wanted to change the world in forty days, here it takes a mere hour of dance to change us. We come away from the performance confident in our future and in harmony with ourselves." (Le Figaro Magazine, 2017).
