Over one hundred local and international specialists joined the museum's team to study - in some cases for the first time - the archaeological discoveries found in Monaco, and display them for all of us to marvel and admire.Museum of Prehistoric Anthropology
This major new "Monaco Special" exhibition is in four languages (French, English, Italian, Monegasque) and features all of the latest modern scientific and museographical technologies, including carbon dating, DNA sequencing, analyses, reconstructions, holograms, 3D scans and terminals, virtual signage, and more.
Both indoors and outdoors, visitors will discover some of the biggest and best known pieces, as well as lesser known exhibits, some found many years ago and others unearthed more recently during preventive archaeological digs, such as those carried out before construction works.
The exhibition will show you Monaco's history from a whole new perspective - archaeologically! Step back in time to the Prehistoric era, and journey across 300,000 years of history, through the Neolithic, the Bronze and Iron Ages, Classic Antiquity, the Middle Ages, all the way to the modern age and present day… Explore the world through a brand new, immersive scenography created by Hapax in collaboration with the team at the Museum of Prehistoric Anthrolopology.
From the oldest to the newest discoveries, Monarchéo, Monegasque Archaeology Revealed, is a fascinating and educational experience for visitors of all ages with an interest in history, science and art.
