The Rose Ball on 23 March 2013 at the Sporting Monte-Carlo

An event to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Société des Bains de Mer

The Rose Ball of the Rock will be held in the Salle des Etoiles on 23 March 2013, in aid of the Princess Grace Foundation.  The ball is presided over by T.S.H. the Prince and Princess of Monaco and H.R.H. the Princess of Hanover.

This year, H.R.H. the Princess of Hanover, who is president of the Foundation, has asked her friend Karl Lagerfeld to design the Rose Ball of the Rock to celebrate the SBM's 150th anniversary.

The renowned designer has opted for a strong contrast between a "classic," Belle Epoque-style ball of 1900, with all the features of a ball of this period, and a resolutely "Pop" end to the evening!

The Rose Ball Celebrates the 150th Anniversary of the Société des Bains de Mer of Monte-Carlo

The Rose Ball, which has been designed by Karl Lagerfeld, will take place on 23 March and will offer two very different musical atmospheres

The Rose Ball of the Rock is presided over by T.S.H. the Prince and Princess of Monaco and H.R.H. the Princess of Hanover.  It is held in aid of the Princess Grace Foundation and will take place on 23 March 2013.

For this event, Karl Lagerfeld has chosen a strong contrast between a "classic," typically "Belle Epoque" ball of 1900 and a resolutely, crazily "Pop" end to the evening.

The evening will begin with the Prague Concert Philharmonic, followed by a pop ambiance with artists Rita Ora, Theophilus London and DJ Caroline de Maigret.

During the evening there will be an appearance by the famous fortune teller Madame Dalyane, who practised her art in the SBM's establishments;  a cinematic interlude in black and white, portraying Monaco in the Belle Epoque period through iconic films, and finally, a tombola hosted by Stéphane Bern and top model Cara Delevingne.
