The 2014 International Pyromelodic Firework Competition

The champions of the last four competitions will compete with each other over four nights at Port Hercule

Created by Monaco City Hall in 1966 as part of Monte-Carlo’s centenary celebrations, the International Pyromelodic Firework Competition takes place over four nights in summer. In 1996, the 31st Competition was the first to feature fireworks synchronised with music (pyromelodic fireworks).

Every year, the competition features two displays in July (at 10 p.m.) and two in August (at 9.30 p.m.).

This year will see a twist to the competition as the winners of the last four competitions return, as they do every five years, for the Champions’ Final of the International Pyromelodic Firework Competition.

· Saturday 19 July at 10 p.m.: Surex Family Company (Poland), Champions 2011

· Sunday 27 July at 10 p.m.: Pirotecnia Zaragozana (Spain), Champions 2013

· Sunday 9 August at 9.30 p.m: Jubliee Fireworks (England), Champions 2010

· Saturday 16 August at 9.30 p.m.: Pyrotex Fireworx (England), Champions 2012

Ever since 2010, the public has been able to vote online for the Audience prize; voting opens the day after each display. Vote at: www.monaco-feuxdartifice.mc.

Concerts will also take place before and after each display, which are free and open to all.
