Formula 1 returns to the Rock of Monaco this weekend! From Thursday 20 to Saturday 22 May 2021, Principality of Monaco

After a year's hiatus, the most prestigious race on the Formula 1 calendar is back on Thursday. The one every driver is desperate to win.

Here, at the most iconic of circuits, every driver dreams of winning in Monaco, the slowest and toughest race of the Formula 1 World Championship™. A victory on this unforgiving circuit here must be earned, with the slightest error more often than not proving fatal to a driver's chances in the narrow streets, with barriers set up specially for the race in the heart of the city itself.

Qualifying is always crucial here, as overtaking during the race is virtually impossible. But with many cars retiring, a solid drive is often enough to finish in the points.

I love that unique thrill

For this fifth race of the year, there will be a slight change for the Monaco Grand Prix with the first day of practice [EL1 and EL2] scheduled for Thursday 20 May in the streets of the Principality, rather than on the Friday as at all the other circuits.

Friday 21 May will be a day off in Monaco, and the third free practice session will take place on Saturday 22 May, followed by qualifying in the afternoon. The 2021 Monaco Grand Prix will take place on Sunday 23 May.
