The world's top 56 clay court players together in Monaco! From Saturday 8 to Sunday 16 April 2023, Monte-Carlo Country Club
The Rolex Monte-Carlo Tennis Masters is one of the world's oldest and most prestigious tournaments.
Created in 1897, it was origally known as the Monte-Carlo Tennis Championship. It was later renamed the Monte-Carlo Country Club, and it was not until 2006, when the Country Club joined forces with the famous watchmaking brand, that the tournament took its present name, the Rolex Monte-Carlo Tennis Masters. It is an all-men's competition, including both singles and doubles events. Women previously took part until 1982.
The Rolex Monte-Carlo Tennis Masters brings together the world's top 56 male clay court players in a direct elimination format including six rounds. Matches are the best of three sets, with a tie-break in each. The doubles tournament features 24 teams, for a total of 48 players, in a direct elimination format with five rounds. The top-ranked eight teams will be seeded and are given a bye in the first round.
