Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo - "Montero - Maillot - Verbruggen"
From Wednesday 28 June at 7.30 pm, to Saturday 1 July 2023, Grimaldi Forum Monaco
"FIREBIRD" by Goyo MONTERO, "NOCES" by Jean-Christophe MAILLOT, and "PULCINELLA" by Jérôme VERBRUGGEN. This special programme, which includes a double-header of two worldwide creations for Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo, offers a new dialogue with the repertoire of the Russian Ballets, and in particular those pieces that saw Stravinsky achieve the soaring musical heights.
From Wednesday 28 June at 7:30 pm, to Saturday 1 July 2023
10, avenue Princesse Grace
Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo - "La Belle"
From Monday 26 at 7.30 pm to Thursday 29 June 2023, Grimaldi Forum Monaco
Dive into a beautiful yet ferocious psychoanalytical study of the famous fairy tale by Perrault. Jean-Christophe Maillot has striven to break through the sugary Disney crust of La Belle to create a ballet that speaks directly to our inner child, our fears and our desires. This production introduces us to the lesser-known second act of Perrault's tale, in which the heroine's awakening and her wedding to the Prince are not the end of the story.
From Monday 26 at 7:30 pm, to Thursday 29 June 2023

Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo - "Cinderella"
From Tuesday 18 to Friday 21 July 2023, at 7.30 pm, Grimaldi Forum Monaco
In his version of Cinderella, Jean-Christophe Maillot uses the context of a blended family where grief is impossible to create vain and idle characters attempting to exist in a world dripping in artifice. The choreographer juxtaposes this universe with the naked simplicity of Cinderella. Her bare foot becomes the symbolic centre of the ballet and celebrates a part of the body without which dance could not exist.

This part is dark and terrifying: the Princess, now Queen, and her children are threatened by her stepmother, the Ogress Carabosse.
