SYNOPSIS
Mr Golyadkin, a quiet government clerk in Saint-Petersburg, sees his life turned upside down by the appearance of his doppelganger. It seems this other Golyadkin is plotting to replace him! A fantastical story, "The Double" looks with empathy and humour at the confusion of a man torn between his shyness and fascination for others.
