the Princess Grace Theater ticket office*).
As part of the fiftieth anniversary celebrations, the
Department of Cultural Affairs is organizing two distinct special programs.
The Principality’s iconic cultural institutions will be in the spotlight from July 8 to August 7, while the traditional theater season will resume from August 18 to September 4, 2020.
Five women under the spell of one man, Bluebeard.
This famous tale has been adapted in the form of five monologs, each one a story of dangerous love.
Flowing freely from the imagination of the five actresses and their improvisational talents, Lisa Guez directs this adaptation with the aid of playwrights Valentine Krasnoshok and Sarah Doukhan. The stage is sparse, the text is sharp and funny, and the stories, though terrible, are at once amusing and touching. Keeping us firmly with bated breath, they are a timely reminder that the figure of Bluebeard is sadly as real and relevant as ever.
Ticket office open.
Free places, subject to availability.
Book at the Princess Grace Theater (in person only), 12 avenue d’Ostende, from
Monday to Friday, 12 pm to 6.30 pm.
