Concert by Bernard LavilliersThursday 11 October, at 8.30 pm, Espace Léo Ferré
Lavilliers is full of surprises!
The brilliant adventurer is back with yet another game-changer. In this, his twenty-first studio album, it's finally out with the lilting rhythms in favour of electric guitars, strings, brass and percussion orchestrated in lively compositions. There's a logic to the sequence of these eleven songs, which ends with L'Espoir and begins with the biting La Gloire, a poem written by Pierre Seghers in 1957, at the height of the war in Algeria, which Bernard Lavilliers and Fred Pallem have set to music.
