Erik Boulatov Retrospective at the New National Museum of Monaco
The exhibition "Erik Boulatov, Paintings and Drawings 1966 - 2013" will be held at the Villa Paloma from 28 June to 29 September 2013
Erik Boulatov is a central figure in contemporary Russian art. Boulatov was not a prolific painter, but was able to free himself from the constraints of official Soviet art by developing a unique working method.
Around thirty large format paintings and more than 50 drawings will be on show at the exhibition at the New National Museum of Monaco, in the Villa Paloma, from 28 June to 29 September 2013.
Erik Boulatov's first European exhibitions were at the Kunsthalle in Zurich in 1988 and the Pompidou Centre. He has been the subject of many solo exhibitions, in Paris, Moscow, Hanover and Geneva.
This is another opportunity to show a collection of Boulatov's work, on the eve of his 80th birthday.

Last Chance to Visit the Erik Bulatov Exhibition in Monaco – Final Days
There are only a few days left to see "Erik Bulatov, Paintings and Drawings 1966-2013"
On Sunday 29 September at 4 p.m. at the Villa Paloma, on the last day of the "Erik Bulatov, Paintings and Drawings 1966-2013" exhibition and as part of the "Off Circuit" events, Clément Minighetti - Chief Curator of the MUDAM (Luxembourg) – will give a cross-cutting lecture on the work of Erik Bulatov and the American artist Ed Ruscha (some drawings by Ed Ruscha from the UBS Art Collection are presented in the "La Table des Matières" ("Table of Contents") at the NMNM).
