Discover an immersive and interactive experience! Take on the role of a roving reporter and set off on a mission to explore the polar regions! This new exhibition includes five thematic areas spread over two levels. Learn about the poles and their wildlife, and the men and women who populate and explore them. Fascinating objects and documents, digital content and immersive devices come together to create a 360° experience. The great voyage can begin! The IMMERSION room (space N°4) has closed. The other areas of the Polar Mission exhibition will remain open until 5 January 2025.

Cabinet of Curiosities - "The Pathé-Baby and 9.5 mm films - A history of amateur cinema in Monaco" - An exhibition created and produced by the Audiovisual Institute of Monaco in partnership with the Jérôme Seydoux-Pathé Foundation, with the help of the Heritage Department at the National Centre for Cinema, and the association Inédits, amateur films/memory of Europe.

Call for participation - Open mic event at Fort Antoine

As part of efforts to promote the Principality's young talent and strengthen ties between culture and youth, an open mic event will be organised for and by young people on Tuesday 18 2023 at Fort Antoine. The event is aimed mainly at younger people, allowing those aged 18 to 30 to reveal their musical, acting, or dancing talents on the magical stage of Fort Antoine. If you would like to take part, simply complete the online form before 15 May to sign up. The event is also being organised mainly by young people, specifically a committee of five 18 to 30 year-olds, who are working with teams from the Department of Cultural Affairs. From the technical side to communication, via logistics and artistic policy, they will be overseeing every aspect of the staging of what will hopefully be a hugely successful cultural event.

Exhibition - "Regards Croisés"

This exhibition tells the story of the great expedition undertaken by Les Explorations de Monaco in the Indian Ocean in October and November 2022, as seen through the eyes of three artists - Elise Rigot, Chloé Thibault, Rémi Leroy, two photographers - Filip Kulisev, Nicolas Mathys, a journalist - Stéphane Dugast, and a director - Sylvain Péroumal, as well as quotes from various participants. Visitors will discover the highlights of the expedition, and the everyday lives of those involved, the numan adventure, the ship itself - a key character in the story, the scientific work performed day and night, and the exceptional natural sites visited. It is both a celebration of travel, discovery, and imagination, and a thought-provoking reflection on a world faced with very real environmental challenges...

Event - "Côte d’Azur Garden Festival"

Once again this year, the Principality of Monaco is taking part in the Côte d’Azur Garden Festival. On the famous 'terrasses du Casino' (Fairmont side), two landscaped creations will be on display to the public, on the theme of this 4th edition sponsored by TV personality Denis Brogniart: "Surprising perspectives". The gardens are "La jetée" by Sarah Houlbert and Julien Thirion (France) and "Fire: the surprising gardener" by Amber Myers and Studio Fish & Pot (Netherlands, South Africa). The Prince's Government will also be represented in the "non-competing" category with a creation called "Une question de point de vue" designed by Timothée ROCHE, draughtsman at the Design Office of the Department of Urban Amenities and put together by staff from the highways and gardens sections.

For George Condo, "the Humanoid is not a science fiction monster, but a depiction that uses traditional methods to bring a person's inner emotions to the surface". Over the course of eight sections, the exhibition traces the continuity of a profuse body of work that ranges from “space beings” to Who’s Who, from Guido Reni to Bugs Bunny. Featuring specially produced paintings, the exhibition offers a glimpse of the artist’s process of invention – as crazy as it is erudite – of humanoids.

Lecture - "Ocean Space Forum"

The Monaco Office for Outer Space Affairs, in collaboration with the French National Centre for Space Research (C.N.E.S.) and French firm Prométhée, is organising a day of discussion and debate at the Oceanographic Museum on the theme of "new space" and its advantages for the maritime sector more widely, marine and coastal conservation, and optimisaion of maritime and port logistics. The day will take the form of a series of round tables involving stakeholders from the various fields and sectors concerned, both public and private, Monegasque and French. The Sovereign is also expected to drop by at the event. The Prince's Government will be represented by Ms Rosabrunetto, Director-General of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, who will be a keynote speaker during the opening session. There will also be speeches by the Digital Platforms and Resources Department and the Office for Outer Space Affairs, and Mr Frédéric Genta, Country Chief Digital Officer, who will give the closing address. The Department of Maritime Affairs and the Department of the Environment will take part in some of the round tables. The event is open to the public, subject to pre-registration.

As part of the exhibition "From One World To Another, From The Visible To The Invisible", this lecture looks at the passing of the spirit through the nighttime and daytime hours of the book of the dead. A new approach to ancient Egypt's most enigmatic funerary texts, found in the royal tombs and which accompany the dead on their eternal voyage. The lecture will be followed by a guided tour of the Egyptian section of the museum.
