World Red Cross Day in Monaco

On Saturday 31 May 2014, the Monegasque Red Cross is organising a festive event at the Espace Léo Ferré

Visitors are expected from 8.30 a.m. on Saturday 31 May 2014 at the Espace Léo Ferré for the traditional charity sale by the Monegasque Red Cross.

Members of the public, especially families, will also have an opportunity to find out about the work carried out throughout the year by the various sections of the Red Cross.

The programme for the day features:

Fun activities for young children, to find out about the world of the Red Cross and humanitarian values;

A presentation stand by the Monegasque Red Cross, with a chance to meet volunteers and find out about the various branches of the Red Cross (such as first aid, nurses, international humanitarian work, social aspects, etc.);

A large charity sale;

A tombola with some very special prizes (well-being treatments, a brunch at the Monte-Carlo Bay, dinner at the Café de Paris, etc.); 

and a photo exhibition – "Eleven Women Facing War" by Nick Danziger for the International Committee of the Red Cross.

All the money raised will be used to train first aiders in Niger.
