Monte-Carlo Spring Arts Festival, 2013 Version

The 29th "Printemps des Arts" (Monte-Carlo Spring Arts Festival) will take place from 15 March to 14 April 2013

The Monte-Carlo Spring Arts Festival will be held over five weekends.

Its artistic director, Marc Monnet, has orchestrated a programme that is unusual, surprising and of high quality.

There will be tributes to Beethoven, Bartok and Stravinsky (with, notably, the participation of the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra, conducted by Valery Gergiev, one of today's greatest conductors).

There will also be world music and dance, with the Kinshasa Symphony Orchestra (the musicians of this Orchestra are entirely self-taught and have made their instruments themselves) and the Royal Ballet of Cambodia, which was reformed, thanks to Princess Norodom Buppha (all the dancers and musicians were killed by the Khmer Rouge).

Plus master classes, mystery trips, events in association with schools in Monaco, all with the same aim:  Art always takes centre stage.
