Julie and Alban are in love. One evening, they swear "on the lives of the children" that they will be faithful to one another for ten years. Out of superstition and because the children are sacred, the innocent little phrase binds them to their promise. After holding firm for nine years, eleven months, and fifteen days, they are now preparing for the fateful day to arrive. A heady cocktail of bad faith, lies, good conscience and moral virtue, this new play by Salomé Lelouch explores situations that are as inextricable as they are delicious. Theatre - "Les poupées persanes - Aïda Asgharzadeh"
Tuesday 20 February 2024, at 8 pm, Théâtre Princesse Grace
This is the story of four university students in 1970s Iran, from the fall of the Shah to the rise of the Islamic regime. It is also the story of two sisters in France, distinctly unimpressed at the prospect of marking the arrival of the year 2000 and the new millennium with their family in a ski resort. It is the love story of Bijan and Manijeh, a mythical couple from Persian legend. It is the story of hope-filled youth, a struggle cut short, a people sacrificed, a maelstrom of secrets, a heritage we know not what to do with, and a love that knows not where to go.

Lecture - "The Puzzle of the Crystal Skull"
Wednesday 21 February 2024, at 6 pm, Musée d’Anthropologie Préhistorique
A veritable mythology has grown around these strange crystal artefacts and a supposed Mayan legend. They are said to have fabulous powers: visions of the past, healing powers, stores of information, sources of energy, and so on. Their claims origins are no less extraordinary, ranging from Atlantis to outer space. More mundanely, it was until recently thought they may date from the pre-Columbian world, and the Aztec or Mixtec cultures. But where do these skulls really come from, and do they truly have incredible powers?

Taking the form of a daydream punctuated by interviews, this musical tale is all about Berger: poet, lover, dreamer. Repesenting something of a departure from his usual biopics, through Michel Berger we also learn about the sensitivity of Joshua Lawrence, and his personal take on art and existence itself.

Theatre - "Rien ne s'oppose à la nuite - Fragments"
Tuesday 12 March 2024, at 8 pm, Théâtre Princesse Grace
“My mother is dead, but I am handling a living material”. Multi-award winning best-sellier "Rien ne s’oppose à la nuit" paints a portrait of a mother, and through her that of a family in the shadow of tragedy, a family that is unique yet universal. Keeping an almost visceral connection with the book, author Delphine de Vigan has always refused to allow it to be adapted for the screen or stage. Actor Elsa Lepoivre, through her passion for the book, her enthusiasm, and her subtle grasp of its meaning, finally convinced the writer to let her lend her voice and portrary her alone on the stage.

And once again, the new tour will kick off at the Théâtre de l’Œuvre in Paris. As the man himself freely admits, "Emmanuel" reignited his passion for performing. In that show, he spoke candidly about his childhood memories and relationships, with anecdote after anecdote striking a chord with audiences. His latest work promises more of the same easy-going, relaxed style that feels like a fun night in the company of your favourite buddies.

Philosophy Workshop - "Mental Load: A Mother's Invisible Burden"
Wednesday 13 March 2024, at 5.30 pm, Centre Hospitalier Princesse Grace
The phrase "mental load" was coined by sociologists in the 1980s to describe the cognitive aspect of physical labour. The concept was quickly seized on by feminists to highlight the unrecognised burden that falls on women caring for their families. Mental load is now understood to refer to the psychological, cognitive, and emotional implications of looking after others, particularly young children, and the stress placed on women, who bear an unequal share of responsibility for care. Workshop organised by the association Les Rencontres Philosophiques de Monaco.

Following his successful big-screen roles in films such as "Neuilly sa mère" and "Beur sur la ville", and his hugely popular stage play "La grande évasion", Booder is once again returning to his first love: stand-up comedy. Audiences are in for a real treat, as the comedian talks about his experiences in the world of the performing arts, the people he has met, the country of his birth, and, well, pretty much everything!

Lecture - "Life as a Couple"
Thursday 14 March 2024, at 7 pm, Théâtre Princesse Grace
If the meaning of life is a number, it certainly isn't "one". There may be single-cell organisms, bacteria, yeast, plankton, and other protozoa... But even they need something else, namely an environment in which to exist. Every organic molecule, in addition to having a lifespan and sources of energy, is built on multiplicity, alterity, combinations of elements, carbon, oxygen, hydrogen, water... Naturally, such is the essence of life on Earth, the life of living things, but tells us nothing about the way in which humans choose to live that life. Lecture organised by the association Les Rencontres Philosophiques de Monaco.

This intimate fourth show is not just your ordinary stand-up, but includes anecdotes, personal revelations, and performances in character, as a passionate "FX" tells us a story in ten bottles. The vintage or provenance of each one is a pretext to take the audience on a journey to another time and place. The comedian's memories mingle with our own. FX talks about the things he has seen and the glasses he has drunk. The bottles are the leitmotiv, and each tasting a reflection on these strange times. FX invites us to join him for a drink, titillating our tastebuds and sparking our neurons. An intoxicating experience!
