Erik Bulatow-Retrospektive im Neuen Nationalmuseum Monaco

Vom 28. Juni bis 29. September 2013 findet in der Villa Paloma die Ausstellung "Erik Bulatow, Gemälde und Zeichnungen 1966 - 2013" statt

Erik Bulatow ist eine zentrale Figur der russischen Kunst der Gegenwart. Mit einer zahlenmäßig eher bescheidenen künstlerischen Produktion hat Bulatow es verstanden, sich gegen die Banalitäten der offiziellen sowjetischen Staatskunst abzugrenzen, indem er seine ganz eigene Praxis entwickelte.
 
Die bevorstehende Ausstellung im Neuen Nationalmuseum von Monaco,  Villa Paloma vom 28. Juni bis 29. September 2013 umfasst etwa dreißig großformatige Gemälde und mehr als 50 Zeichnungen.  

Seit seine Werke im Jahr 1988 zum ersten Mal in Europa ausgestellt wurden, in der Kunsthalle Zürich und im Centre Pompidou, wurden ihm zahlreiche Ausstellungsmonographien gewidmet, so in Paris, Moskau, Hannover und Genf.

Nun also, mit Blick auf den bevorstehenden 80. Geburtstag des Künstlers, haben wir erneut Gelegenheit zu einer Begegnung mit seinem Werk.

There are only a few days left to see "Erik Bulatov, Paintings and Drawings 1966-2013"

On Sunday 29 September at 4 p.m. at the Villa Paloma, on the last day of the "Erik Bulatov, Paintings and Drawings 1966-2013" exhibition and as part of the "Off Circuit" events, Clément Minighetti - Chief Curator of the MUDAM (Luxembourg) – will give a cross-cutting lecture on the work of Erik Bulatov and the American artist Ed Ruscha (some drawings by Ed Ruscha from the UBS Art Collection are presented in the "La Table des Matières" ("Table of Contents") at the NMNM).
