12th Grand Prix de Monaco Historique

Since the 2018 edition, the Classic Cars Organising and Commissioning Committee of the Automobile Club de Monaco, keenly aware of the need to promote this important international event, has decided to make some changes to the meeting by introducing a greater focus on Formula 1. This year, in the authentic and magical setting of the Principality and its world-famous circuit, the 12th Grand Prix de Monaco Historique will remain faithful to that commitment by celebrating Ferrari's maiden World Championship win.

The 2020 event had intended to mark the 70th anniversary of the creation of the Formula 1 World Championship. Alas, the Covid-19 pandemic made that impossible. Despite the health crisis, however, the current plans remain on course and the 2021 edition will see enthusiasts and lovers of this wonderful sporting discipline take part in real races.

Over two and a half days, the competitors will share their passion for top-level sport, under real race conditions, with all of the distinctive noise and smells of their cars, lining up against the same rivals they faced in yesteryear in the Principality of Monaco, where 80% of the circuit remains unchanged since 1929, and is still used for the FIA Formula 1 World Championship to this day.

The news was announced yesterday by the Organizing Committee: the Historic Grand Prix will be free on saturday and sunday ! You can already book your tickets to the official ticket offices of the Automobile Club de Monaco: at the Tourism Office (Boulevard des Moulins) and on the promenade Honoré II.
