Monaco is a Great Success in India

Monaco Tourist and Convention Authority (DTC) is continuing its promotional activities abroad. The latest promotional tour has just taken place in India.

Representatives of the Tourist and Convention Authority, accompanied by Monaco's Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Patrick Médecin, were in India from 10 to 15 November 2013.

The DTC's representative office organised many meetings for the media, from Bombay to New Delhi, which were all followed by a "Destination" evening event with the DTC's partners, Monte-Carlo SBM and the incoming agency CMX.

These meetings attracted a large number of tourism professionals, who had come to show their growing interest in the Principality.

Last year, a "casino" event was organised as part of these evening meetings.  This time, a question and answer game on the subject of the Principality, hosted by a lively radio presenter, enabled guests to win numerous prizes.  This clever competition also offered the participants, agencies, tour operators and corporate guests an opportunity to widen their knowledge of Monaco.

This year, the DTC added the city of Bangalore to its tour.  As this area is known as India's "Silicon Valley," it was essential, especially at this stage of the tour, to put the accent on Monegasque areas of expertise, particularly with regard to the new "MICE" campaign launched recently by the Tourist Authority and its partners in an effort to persuade the Indian market to choose Monaco as the new MICE or leisure destination!

Many new contacts were made.  Audiences of 80 to 100 people, from Bombay to New Delhi, and more than 200 tourism professionals in Bangalore, showed great interest in all the information given at this roadshow.
